Accounting Clerk and Administrative Assistant-Temp to Hire

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction accounting and administrative support. The successful candidate will handle invoicing, vendor compliance, financial reconciliation, and job cost tracking. Experience with QuickBooks and remote access platforms is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
    • Print and process invoices for approval and input
    • Verify vendor insurance and lien waivers
    • Invoice buyers monthly for extras
    • Submit and follow up on buyer construction loans/draws through funding
  • Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
    • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit cards
    • Weekly cash position reporting
    • Compare Excel job cost reports to QuickBooks job cost data
  • Contract & Document Management
    • Input home and land sales contracts and ALTA closing statements
    • Oversee company insurance policies and renewals

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Proven experience with QuickBooks
    • Strong understanding of construction accounting practices
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Preferred:
    • Familiarity with remote access platforms
    • Experience with Excel-based job costing
    • Knowledge of construction loan draw processes
